| Os'Kars coming to Ballinasloe | “At a recent launch of Ballinasloe GAA OsKaRs, they were delighted to announce that their chosen charity is EAST GALWAY & MIDLANDS CANCER SUPPORT UNIT, Brackernagh Ballinasloe. Tickets for the OsKaRs night on the 7th December in the Shearwater Hotel are now on sale, priced at €30 each and a contribution from every ticket sold will go to this deserving charity. This is a BLACK TIE affair and gives you the opportunity to dress up and have a very unique night out in Ballinasloe. This is the first opportunity ever in Ballinasloe to be part of a Gala night at the movies. You will be witness to 7 well known films , each condensed into 10/12 mins with an array of local talent on show. All filming will be done locally with many well known location easily identifiable. Ballinasloe Ladies Gaelic Football club are hosting an exciting new programme called Gaelic4Girls which starts on Monday 27th March from 6.00pm in Clubgrounds (Behind Supervalu) for 8 weeks.We are one of only 37 clubs nationwide to be selected for the programme, with Spiddal being the only other Galway club selected. It is open to all girls aged between 8-12 years who are not registered with a Ladies Gaelic Football team. It introduces girls to football in a fun environment and all participants will get a G4G t-shirt and certificate on completion. The programme costs €10. | Registration Nights | We urge all of our members to get to our registration nights. Membership is integral for the running of the club and one of our only sources of income. As well as the Shearwater incentives previously stated, we are also working on a local inititative that includes other discounts and promotions from local businesses when you become a member of our club. We will keep you posted on these developments so watch this space. You must be also be a member to participate in the club and avail of All Ireland tickets WHEN Galway reach the All Ireland in 2016. Juvenile Membership is €40, Adult Membership is €60 and Family Membership is €120 (2 adults and 2 children).
